Our sophomore students had the opportunity to participate in Reality U yesterday! This 75-minute life simulation helped them understand how their current academic performance influences their future. It allowed students to develop their personal finance skills by exploring income sources and making informed financial decisions, emphasizing the importance of money management. We had many local businesses take part in making this event a success which is greatly appreciated!
HHS Booster Club will be paying the way for all high school students to get into tonight and tomorrow's sub state basketball games. Come out and support your Chargers!

The Everest boys basketball team defeated ACCMS tonight 40-37 to win 3rd place in the NEK league tournament. Way to go Chargers!
Congratulations to the Forensics team. They placed third at the NEKL tournament event last night at HHS. All 6 team members advanced to the final rounds of competition with three students qualifying for state in Poetry, Prose, Extemp, and Impromptu Speaking. Thank you to everyone who helped judge, run the concession stand, and supported the team. It was greatly appreciated.

Today at the High School the freshman and sophomores did some book tasting. They looked and read the summaries of books. They tasted many different types of genres that we have in the library. They wrote down their favorites to check out at a later date.
Horton Boys basketball will be hosting Maranatha on Thursday 2/27 at 7:00pm for the first round of sub-state.

Mrs. Thorson's 1st Graders took a look at "An Icy Invention" today! We learned about the history of popsicles and then tried our hand at making our own. We placed water with a stick outside for several hours and watched it transform from a liquid to a solid.
