Benchmark Advance Coach Alli joined our K–6 classrooms today to model lessons while teachers observed and learned alongside their students. She shared practical tips, instructional strategies, and ideas to help both teachers and students become more comfortable and confident with our new resource. As this is our first year implementing Benchmark Advance, this hands-on support is an important next step in our professional development plan.

Everest students traveled to Hiawatha for the county bee. The students did amazing, but Hiawatha will be representing Brown County at the State Spelling Bee in Salina.

Horton High School Senior Tori Jelks, has been selected to participate in the 2026 Kansas Music Educator's Association All- State Full Orchestra. She is one of 24 high school horn performers from across the state to be selected to perform in one of 3 All- State ensembles, 2 bands and the full orchestra. She will go to Wichita on February 26-28 to practice and perform with the ensemble. Her performance will be Saturday, Feb 28 at 11:00 at the Century II Concert Hall. Congratulations Tori!
