EMS Student Council is having a fun outdoor evening at Everest Middle School for 7/8th graders on Friday, May 16, from 630-900 pm.

5th graders enjoyed their PTO Educational Field Trip in St. Joe. Students learned about the Pony Express, enjoyed the planetarium, toured MoWest's campus, explored the Walter Cronkite Museum, and ended their day fishing!

EMS would like to recognize the 7th grade girls Medley team (Emma Lentz-Chloe Rice-Elsie Bryant-Myla Stirton) for setting the meet record at last week's NEKL track meet. This is the final time the Medley will be ran at the NEKL meet. Next year it will be replaced with the 4x400 relay. Way to go girls!

Today the 5th grade teachers came to the HES to introduce themselves to the 4th graders and tell them a little about next year. The 4th and 5th grade teachers worked together to do some fun team building activities with the students. 4th graders will travel to EMS Wednesday for orientation followed by a parent meet and greet 3-4pm.

When Uncle George invites his whole family up for a weekend of fun at his rustic cabin, he actually wants them together so he can read his will. But between the bequeathing and his rambling stories, George drops the bomb that somewhere on the property is a suitcase holding four hundred and eighty thousand dollars! What follows is a hilarious farce of pettiness, slander, and greed. The relatives end up wrestling each other, falling down the stairs, and getting stuck in the furniture. "Yep, we're gonna have lots of fun!" says George as he's seen carrying a shovel out the front door. But George's gift is much more important than mere money, even though the relatives don't see it that way - at first.
