
EMS/HHS XC meet at Hiawatha this Thursday 9/19 has been moved up an hour to 4pm. Middle school will start at 4, high school will start at 5.

Public Speaking is a new course offered at our high school this year and is off to a great start! I had the pleasure of sitting in on the class where students were assigned to bring significant items that represent their past, present, and future. The leadership skills and confidence that I observed growing in these students was amazing to watch!





Thank you to Mr Vittetoe and the 7/8th grade band for playing our national anthem this morning to kick off Constitution Day.


1st Grade had a few special visitors today as we explored the parts of a chick and what they need to thrive in their environments! 🐤

JV Football Tonight @ Charger Field!


HHS sophomores practiced real life science and math skills tagging monarchs at Loess Bluffs on Friday. The experience was targeted to deepen aesthetic appreciation for literature as well. Monarch migration is a central plot element in their upcoming novel, "Flight Behavior" by Barbara Kingsolver.

6th-grade FACS students have been learning about using knives. They chopped apples and nuts. Then they put peanut butter on rice cakes and added their chopped nuts and apples for a healthy snack.

Charger Volleyball enters tourneys this weekend!


There was a great turnout for HES Super Reader Family Literacy Night on Tuesday, September 10th.





EMS stuco would like to announce that there will be a student section for the EMS volleyball on Monday, September 16. Please wear your favorite jersey.


EMS would like to thank the Charger Booster Club for purchasing our new volleyball net that was installed this year. Every football and volleyball player were given socks for the season. Shirts were given to the volleyball team as well. We would also like to thank the generous donors who have given to the Charger Booter Club so that our students can enjoy these items. #chargeon

EMS 5th Graders enjoy the extra outside time built into their daily schedule. The Ga Ga Ball Pit is a favorite activity . Slushy's were also a favorite treat today!
