Just a reminder Stuco and Horton Alumni are selling raffle tickets to win $6400 grill. Tickets are $100. Contact the High School or the Board Office for a ticket. Drawing will be in May. The grill will be on display this week during the home basketball games!

Taya Nelson and Alex Meyers got to enjoy a sweet treat today from Scoops and Smiles. They were chosen as the Charger All-Stars winners for the month of January.

Scholars Bowl finished in 4th place in pool play today, finishing 8th in state.

Best of luck to the Chargers Scholars Bowl team as they compete in the 2A State Scholars Bowl meet. The team left early this morning to travel to WaKeeney, Kansas.

Today was the Brown County Spelling Bee. Jackson Moore of Hiawatha won on the word crevices. Jeremy Jermyn from Everest will be the alternate if Jackson can't make it.
Today, USD 430 was visited by our new Kansas State Board of Education Representative, Danny Zeck. Mr. Zeck toured our buildings and met with administrators, board members, and teachers. He was also able to go into classrooms and visit with students.
First Grade made Mahomes hats for Mahomes Monday!
Ms. Thorpe's 3rd grade class presented about their Gingerbread House project and other activities that occur in her classroom to the board. Students were excited to share their letters and Gingerbread pictures.
Best of the Best winners for Quarter 2 were recognized.
FCCLA traveled to Topeka on Wednesday for district competition. The Chargers were well represented! Julia Lehew received Gold, Courtney Cline received Silver, Carley Hammersmith received Silver and are all State Bound. Carson Cline also received Silver. Way to go Chargers!!

On Tuesday, February 7th, the 7th and 8th grade choir, The Everest Elite, traveled to the campus of The University of St. Mary to participate in the NEKL Mass Choir! Students from our league gathered to sing together in a concert! Thank you to our host from Xavier for a fun day!
On Saturday, February 4th, Victoria Jelks competed at the Regional Piano Festival at Baker University. She received a rating of "I" which is the highest honor! She has qualified to compete at the State Piano Festival at Wichita State University on Saturday, February 18th!
