February is CTE Month. USD 430 currently has 11 CTE Pathways. A pathway consists of a progression of courses within a career path. Three of our pathways are located in the HHS Shop!
Comprehensive Agriculture Science, Construction & Design, and Power, Structures, & Technical Systems are the three pathways for the shop. Students in these pathways gain a variety of career and technical opportunities - construction, working on small machines, welding, horticulture, and much more.
In addition to the courses taught at the high school, EMS has also implemented Exploratory Ag in 8th grade, which also serves as an introduction course to the Ag Pathways.

**SAVE the DATE**, Saturday, March 23, 2024!! The EMS Student Counsel is excited to sponsor the 2024 Golden Gala at EMS. This event is a way to show our appreciation to the people in our community who have given so much over the years! The Golden Gala is an appreciation (Formal) Dinner/Dance (Live Music) for Grandparents or USD 430 patrons over 50. Dinner will be from 5:00-6:00 Dance from 6:00-8:30. EMS students are encouraged to invite their grandparents or special people to this event. The dinner is "Free Will Donation" all the money goes towards the EMS STUCO projects benefitting students at EMS. Please refer to the Golden Gala invitation for more details. Callie Bloom, class of 2018, came and spoke to Ms. Angela Bush's junior LA III classes today. Callie spoke about her career path through her college education and how she currently owns two businesses including a boutique and event planning. The juniors are currently researching post-secondary education paths and careers they are intersted in pursuing.
