This morning Horton High School vocal students had the honor of hosting two wonderful professors from Washburn University's Department of Music! Dr. Joseph DeSota who teaches applied voice and opera worked with our 11 vocal soloists. Prof. Lawrence Abernathy who directs the choirs worked with all of the large and small ensembles. Both of them provided our students with amazing technique and guidance as they prepare for our upcoming festival season! Ms. McManus wants to extend her deepest gratitude to both of our guests and to our pianist, Mrs. Beth Thurn, for all of their work with our students today!

We want to send out a huge "THANK YOU" to Mrs. Stone. Mrs. Stone has donated the book she wrote "Steps & Stones" to the Horton Elementary Library. She read to a group of 1st graders and the students love the book. Thank You for such an awesome donation.
