On Saturday, April 30th, Horton High School was represented by our 2 state qualifying soloists from the band and choir.
Sophomore Ethan Smith recieved a very high II (Excellent) rating on his Tenor Voice Solos!
Junior Taylor Dvorak recieved a I (Outstanding) rating on her Clarinet Solo!
Ms. McManus and Mr. Vittetoe are extremely proud and very fortunate to have worked with these students! Be sure to congratulate them both when you see them!


Good luck to our FFA members as they compete in the State Horse Judging competition today!

Due to a scheduling conflict that got overlooked, the Baseball Game with Burlingame will need to be moved from the 10th.
We will update as soon as possible.

Today's Baseball Double-Header at Hiawatha vs. Burlingame has been rescheduled for May 10th starting at 4:00pm.

FCCLA Star Event competitors are heading to Nationals in San Diego! We are wanting to work for you to earn money to attend our National competition!! ❤️


Super Kid Award Pizza Day! Congratulations to all of the winners for the month of April! Thanks so much to The Pizza Bakery for supporting our students with this incentive program. The students and staff really look forward to go and eat pizza!



The High School Baseball games with Burlingame this evening have been cancelled. We will work to reschedule and will let you know if a date is set.

Community Service Day at the High School has been cancelled. We will have normal class schedule today. We will not reschedule this year.

EMS community day is going to be rescheduled for Monday, May 2.

2nd Graders enjoyed a production of “Aesop’s Clinic” hosted by the Highland Community College Theatre Department. Also pictured are Aesop & his assistant, as well as the animals helping tell the fables. We were excited to see some former HES 2nd Graders on stage performing!
