
The HHS Forensics team traveled to League on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Valley Falls. The team took first place out of eight schools and are League Champions. The team members competed in 10 different events, and HHS has 3 League Champions. Taylor Dvorak, senior, is the League Champion in Poetry. Chandler Newman, junior, is the League Champion in Prose. Freshman Brooklyn Dvorak is the League Champion in Informative Speaking. All three of these students have now qualified for State in May in these events. In addition, Madison Stirton placed second in Extemp and also qualified for State.

Due to the weather the EMS boys basketball game at Jackson Heights tonight has been canceled and will NOT be rescheduled

Today HHS Basketball players had the opportunity to talk to students at EMS & HES. Team members thanked students for their support this year and their Charger Pride. They also invited them to come out to their last home game Friday night!

Tuesday night was a full night at HHS. The 2023 State Scholars Bowl team was recognized, Lil Charger Dancers performed and the Kickapoo Unity Team performed for Heritage Halftime.



Sixth graders enjoyed trying pomegranate while reading about Persephone in Greek mythology.




HHS Basketball: Horton will host Maur-Hill Friday night (2-17-23) & it will be Senior Night. The Senior Night Recognition will be after the Varsity Girls Game, before the Varsity Boys start warming up for their Game. Games will start at
4:00pm; order will be 1/2 JV Girls, JV Boys, V. Girls, V. Boys.


We know it is Valentine's Day, but it is also CHARGER BASKETBALL Day! Show your 💙🤍love💙🤍 to the Chargers and join us for the games tonight. We have a lot of entertainment in store!

Congratulations to the HES Charger All-Stars this week! Students will be discussing how to listen with their hearts this week.


The 4th grade has been learning about Economics and the production of resources. Christian Buessing from Buessing Dairy came to speak with the 4th grade about milk production on Friday.



HHS Basketball: Tomorrow night (2-14-23) Horton will host Jackson Heights starting at 4:00pm in the following order; 1/2 JV Girls, JV Boys, V. Girls, V. Boys. Youth Dance will perform between the Varsity Girls & Boys Game. Native American Singers & Dancers will also be performing during the Halftime of the Varsity Boys Game.


Just a reminder Stuco and Horton Alumni are selling raffle tickets to win $6400 grill. Tickets are $100. Contact the High School or the Board Office for a ticket. Drawing will be in May. The grill will be on display this week during the home basketball games!
