While the EMS 7th graders were on a trip to Lecompton KS, the 8th grade band students had the opportunity to try out Bucket Drumming. The 7/8th grade band is working a piece called Junkyard Jam that includes a variety of non-traditional percussion instruments, including buckets. Several different rhythms were written on the whiteboard and students learned that different areas of the bucket make different sounds. It was great fun!
