Today at the High School the freshman and sophomores did some book tasting. They looked and read the summaries of books. They tasted many different types of genres that we have in the library. They wrote down their favorites to check out at a later date.
Horton Boys basketball will be hosting Maranatha on Thursday 2/27 at 7:00pm for the first round of sub-state.
Horton girls will be hosting Jackson Heights on Friday 2/28 at 7:00pm for the first round of sub-state.

On Saturday, February 22nd, Junior Victoria Jelks traveled to Wichita State University for the State Piano Festival. She received a rating of 1, which is the best score you can achieve! Congratulations, Tori! You're so talented!

Mrs. Thorson's 1st Graders took a look at "An Icy Invention" today! We learned about the history of popsicles and then tried our hand at making our own. We placed water with a stick outside for several hours and watched it transform from a liquid to a solid.
