High school basketball at Riverside on Tuesday 1/7 has be canceled due to inclement weather. Once a rescheduled date has been decided we will let you know.

Due to road conditions, we are adjusting our return-to-school calendar for this semester AGAIN! All schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7th, with no student activity/athletic events or practices.
Wednesday, January 8th will now be our Teacher Professional Learning/Workday.
We plan for all students to return to school on Thursday, January 9th.
However, we will continue to monitor the road conditions, making necessary adjustments to ensure safety and well-being.

EMS boys basketball game for Monday January 6 vs Jackson Heights has been postponed due to the weather. The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday January 22
At the end of the first semester, we had three retirements. The district office is hosting a retirement reception for those dedicated staff members. Join us at the board office Wednesday evening before the regular scheduled board meeting to celebrate!

On Wednesday, December 11th, members of the Horton High School Choirs decided to spread some love and holiday cheer to our local communities! We made stops at Horton Elementary, the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha, Sabetha Manor, Vintage Park in Hiawatha, Arbor Knoll in Horton, as well as lunch in Fairview and a few surprise stops at grandparents' houses of the choir members. It was a fun filled day and a great bonding experience for our choir students! We saw many smiling faces and loved knowing we could brighten even just a moment for someone else!
Mrs. Holzey's and Mrs. Thorson's classes teamed up this week and tried to come up with a plan on how we could catch a reindeer! Students created a reindeer feed to sprinkle on Christmas eve!
