Mr. Mendez is available for tutoring almost every morning starting at 7:15 a.m. If you would like your student to get some extra help please email mendezz@usd430.org to ask if he has a spot available for extra tutoring help before school starts in the morning. He is available on a first come first serve basis. This is an excellent opportunity to get some focused help on a subject your student is struggling with. This is also an excellent time to work on bringing a grade up which might be slipping, before it falls even further.

Please take a moment to share your voice on the following ESSER III survey. https://forms.gle/ihG4eFsjsp3TSegh9 Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III) funds are being provided under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021, Public Law 117-2, enacted on March 11, 2021. We are reaching out to families and community stakeholders for feedback and input. These funds have to be spent by 2024, with 20% going toward learning loss. Other areas that this money can be spent on can be found within the following survey, many of which we have began to address with previous ESSER funds.

Everest Middle School presents a Veterans Day program each year. As a part of that program, the school creates a slideshow that includes photos of Veterans from Everest Middle School Alumni, student and staff families. We are able to carry over the show each year, but want to add pictures from the families of new students at EMS and any others that need added. You can send a digital copy to hutflesco@usd430.org. If you send a print copy with a student, we will scan it and return it that day. The deadline is Friday, November 5, 2021.
