D-West just postponed tomorrows track meet (Friday, April 8) in Highland due to the cold and windy conditions. When we confirm a rescheduled date, we will let you know.
Friday, April 8, the EMS Track team will travel to Highland for the D-West Invitational. Track meet starts at 11:00 am. It will be Cold and WINDY tomorrow!! Dress warm

Horton HS Softball:
Tomorrow's Softball game @ ACCHS has been postponed and will now be played April 27th @ 4:30.
Congratulations to Trevor Ottman and Julia Lehew, they both qualified for FCCLA Nationals in San Diego, California this summer with Gold medals! Julia received Top Gold in the State of Kansas. Congratulations to Julie Crismas and Courtney Cline for receiving Silver medals at FCCLA State Competition, and Congratulations to Jon Boller for receiving the Top Award in is L.E.O Project! ❤️

The Baseball tournament this Th/F/Sat will be held in Overland Park, KS. Kansas City Christian has built a new turf field located at 5801 W 115th St, Overland Park, KS 66211 by the Jewish Community Center. Horton will play University High at 3:00 on Thursday.
The Horton High School Concert Band was privileged to have KMEA Hall of Fame Educator/Businessman Ed Bartley as a clinician in preparation for the KSHSAA State Large Ensemble Festival. Ed was wonderful with the students and provided much encouragement and advice on how to be a better sounding ensemble. Thank you Ed and Manning Music for making this possible!
Horton Golfers did a great job as they traveled to Jeff West JV tournament. Golfers that brought home medals were Chandler Newman placing 19th & Grayson Stirton placing 24th!

HHS Forensics travelled to Troy on April 4. Desiree Madere and Lu Prohaska placed first in duet. Desiree Madere and Drew Weddington placed 2nd in IDA.
Taylor Dvorak placed 2nd In Impromptu. Madere, Prohaska, Weddington, and Dvorak qualified for State in their events. Weddington and Charisma Payton placed 6 in duet. Tysaa Banks placed 6th in extemp.
