The Chargers invite the entire community to celebrate Homecoming 2025 on Friday, October 3rd, with our annual parade!
🚗 The parade will feature Charger students, athletes, cheerleaders, the band, floats from each class, and this year’s Homecoming royalty.
🎶 The fun continues with a Pep Rally at Four Corners immediately following the parade—music, cheers, and Charger spirit for all ages!
✨ We encourage families, alumni, and community members to line the streets and show your Charger pride. Let’s fill the town with blue, white, and Charger spirit!

Due to a scheduling conflict HES family night has been moved to Thursday October 9th from 5-6:30. (It is no longer tonight) Please join us for Books and Bingo next week along with shopping at our book fair!

HES student success liaison, Michelle Strube, took our 4th graders on a little walk downtown to First Option Bank for Career Week.
The kids got to see inside of the vault and the coin machine. Thanks Michelle and First Option Bank for the amazing experience!





Body Venture was a big hit today at HES! All students, PreK through 4th grade got to experience several aspects of the human body. 5th grade came from EMS to join in on the fun. A huge shoutout to our Charger PTO for organizing this and bringing it to life for our students! Thank you to PTO and the high school and adult volunteers that spent the day with us.

The freshman came to the library for a book tasting. They got to sample 8 different genres. They filled out a brochure of books they may like to check out.



The 3rd and 4th graders learned about Marshmallows in library class. You will have to ask one what marshmallows used to be made from. After reading a book, watching a video on how marshmallows are made, the students got to build with marshmallows and toothpicks.





The first graders learned about International Dot Day, which is a day to show creativity and imagination. After reading the book The Dot, students received a dot to put on their paper anywhere they wanted to. Then they had to turn their dot into a picture.
