2nd Grade had a wonderful visit to Remington Nature Center near St. Joseph, MO. Students were able to help feed fish by cutting up worms, had a scavenger hunt through the museum, & learned about bats. Thank you PTO for a fabulous field trip!

After winning the District and State title in the 2022-2023 season, the Horton FFA Horse Judging Team will set their sights on competing for a National Title November 1st and 2nd in Indianapolis at the National FFA Convention. The team members Montanna Hutchinson, Clarissa Jamvold, Rilee Brown, and Carlee Brown will be representing the State of Kansas as they judge 8 classes and give 4 sets of reasons on the 1st, followed by rigorous team activities and scenarios on the 2nd to test the students' knowledge within the horse industry. They will hear the results in an awards ceremony on Thursday night as they await with teams from over 47 other states and Puerto Rico. This is one of the few times in the history of the chapter of winning the state competition and going to compete at the national level.
