Thursday, April 3rd, marked the end of our recorder unit at EMS! Throughout this quarter, our 5th graders earned a door-full of belts! Each belt was earned through the learning and playing of a collection of songs to reach each milestone! Each belt introduced a new note and included 2-6 songs that used that new note, increasing in difficulty! Mrs. Crane is super proud of all of her Recorder Rockstars!

The 5th and 6th grade Field Day will be Friday, May 16 at Everest Middle School. A picnic lunch will be provided for (parents-grandparents and students). A letter will be sent home with students today with the agenda and times for the Field Day. Hope to see you there!

We caught some children reading. Keep sending pictures to haydenm@usd430.org. We will spotlight students' reading. We would love to have some adult community members reading, too.
