The KSHSAA Regional Solo & Small Ensemble Festival was hosted by Benedictine College in Atchison on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Three students from the Horton High School band prepared solos for the event. Taylor Dvorak-clarinet, Courtney Cline-clarinet, and Tori Jelks-Horn all played wonderfully and qualified for the KSHSAA 3A State Festival by receiving 1 ratings. They will perform at SE of Saline HS on April 29th. Congratulations on excellent performances! The entire band will perform Thursday April 20 at the KSHSAA State Large Group Festival in Atchison.

Also yesterday at JCN EMS hurdler Wyatt Chartier broke the 100m hurdle record 15.51 previously held by Matthew Lobdell 15.71. Way to go Chargers

The entire EMS track team did a wonderful job yesterday. Bobbi Becker broke the the Girls Triple Jump record 31' 6.5" previously held by Erin Sudbeck (Ross) 30'6"
