Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
Welcome to a new school year at South Brown County Schools! We are excited to open the doors once again to our students and families, and we look forward to building on our shared commitment to every child’s success. The start of a new year is always a time of possibility, growth, and renewed partnership, and we are grateful to work alongside you in this critical journey.
This year, our work continues to be guided by several USD 430 Strategic Plan Target Areas designed to strengthen learning, deepen connections, and ensure that every student is prepared for success in school and beyond:
Target Area 1: Preparing Students for Present and Future Success
We remain steadfast in our commitment to ensuring every student graduates with the skills they need for lifelong success. A core part of this work includes literacy development—the foundation of all learning. We will also expand and refine our work-based learning opportunities, connecting students with real-world experiences that deepen engagement and build durable skills.
Target Area 2: Supporting the Continuous Learning Needs of Students
Each student’s learning journey is unique. By nurturing a strong culture for achievement, we will continue to provide responsive instruction, targeted supports, and enrichment opportunities that challenge and inspire students at every level.
Target Area 3: Communication, Involvement, and Engagement among Schools, Families, and Communities
We know that schools thrive when they are in meaningful partnership with families and the broader community. This year, we will continue to build on our momentum by deepening community engagement efforts.
Target Area 4: Operational Effectiveness and Facility Maintenance
Providing safe, efficient, and well-maintained learning environments is essential to our mission. We will continue to work toward addressing facility needs that support teaching and learning at the highest level.
We know that the most successful schools are those where families, educators, and community members work together toward shared goals. Your involvement—whether through volunteering, attending events, or supporting learning at home—makes a meaningful difference for our students.
