Dear Charger Community,
We are pleased to announce that our Boys' Basketball Team has qualified for the State Tournament! This is a remarkable achievement, and we could not be prouder of our student-athletes and coaching staff for their hard work and dedication. This entire season has been a great example of how teamwork, community support, and sportsmanship provide an outstanding environment for everyone to be part of!
The State Tournament games will be played in Manhattan, KS. The Charger's first game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 6:00 PM. In recognition of this exciting event, we will be dismissing all students early on that day. Students will be dismissed at 12:30 PM to allow them ample time to travel to the game and show their support for our team. We will have a community pep rally starting at 10:00 AM in the High School Gym.
We encourage all members of our community to attend the State Tournament game and cheer on our team as they compete against some of the best teams in the state. We are confident that our team will make us proud with their skill and determination on the court. To help with transportation we are seeking interest in taking a community/student pep bus. If you are interested in riding the pep bus please contact Horton High School at 785-486-2151 by noon Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
We wish our Boys' Basketball Team all the best in the State Tournament and look forward to celebrating their success with our school district community.
