Varsity Volleyball Tournament in Hiawatha
By: Tatum Lockwood On September 17, 2016 the Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Hiawatha to play in a volleyball tournament. They played Lafayette High School, Immaculata High School (Imac), Jefferson County North High School (JCN) and Doniphan West High School (D-West). For first game the Lady Chargers were ready to play, as they took the St. Joseph school, Lafayette, to three matches and had their first win of the day. The next two matches were against Imac and JCN. Both games the Lady Chargers played well, but had some struggles and lost. After playing three games in a row, the Lady Chargers were tired, but not close to being ready to give up on the fourth game of the day against D-West. The Lady Chargers played hard and won against Doniphan West High School in two matches. Even though The Lady Chargers did not get out of pool play, they played well by sticking together and working as a team.
