![]() Each month, Horton High School, will select a student-athlete of the month. These students selected show effort and excellence in the classroom and the field of play, dedication to the team, leadership, integrity, and the ability to serve as a role model for current and future Horton High School student-athletes. November is a month where we would like to recognize those involved in activities as well as those who exemplify the true meaning of school spirit. Male Student-Athlete of the Month: Tucker Taff Tucker excels in the classroom and dedicates his time to help others in the classroom. He is also a member of National Honor Society and Scholar’s Bowl. Tucker shows his school pride by being a yell leader on the spirit squad. You can catch Tucker cheering for the Chargers on the sideline every Friday night during football season or pumping up the crowd during basketball season. Female Student-Athlete of the Month: Tannis Simon Tannis excels in the classroom and serves as a role model in the hallways. Tannis shows her school spirit by being a member of the dance team. When Tannis isn’t dancing she cheers on the Chargers from the sidelines. Whether she is dancing on the field or court she always has a bright smile on her face.
