![]() Student-Athlete of the Month (February) Each month, Horton High School, will select a student-athlete of the month. These students selected show effort and excellence in the classroom and the field of play, dedication to the team, leadership, integrity, and the ability to serve as a role model for current and future Horton High School student-athletes. Students selected must:
Cameron excels in the classroom and on the court. In the month of February, Cameron shot 45% from three point range and averaged over 12 points per game in the month. Cameron also averaged 4.5 rebounds per game. In the game against Pleasant Ridge, Cameron scored a career high 19 points. Cameron was crucial to the success of the team during the month of February. Co-Female Student-Athlete of the Month: Tatum Lockwood & Maryanna Randall Tatum & Maryanna both excel in the classroom and on the court. Reaching the mid-way point of the season neither freshmen had a minute of varsity action. Gradually both started earning minutes on the court. By the time February hit, both played crucial minutes for the team down the stretch. Both individuals showed outstanding defensive awareness and put points on the board for the Lady Chargers.
