Student-Athlete of the Month (September)
Each month, Horton High School, will select a student-athlete of the month. These students selected show effort and excellence in the classroom and the field of play, dedication to the team, leadership, integrity, and the ability to serve as a role model for current and future Horton High School student-athletes.
Male Student-Athlete of the Month: Conner Dean
Conner excels in the classroom as well as leads the football team in rushing with 549 yards, as well as touchdowns (6). This is good for a 110 yard average at 8.3 yards a carry. Conner is also 2nd on the team in tackles (30) and tackles for a loss (5).
Female Student-Athlete of the Month: Daspin Bruning
Daspin excels in the classroom as well as leads the volleyball team with 163 kills, 22 aces, 75 digs, and 38 solo blocks. She has helped guide the Lady Chargers to a .500 record in league play.
