The HHS Forensics team opened the season on January 27 at McLouth. As a team, they placed sixth place in sweepstake points. Nine different students competed in ten different events. Avery Wischropp placed in Extemporaneous Speaking, Connor Winter placed sixth in Original Oratory, and Tucker Taff placed sixth in Serious Solo Acting.

The Forensics Team kicked off their 2017 season at the McLouth Tournament on January 28. Tucker Taff, junior, placed fifth in Serious Solo Acting. Taff and Madison Schmitt, junior, placed seventh in Duet Acting. Other team members who competed were James Richardson, senior, and Wendy Koelliker, sophomore. The team's next competition will be on February 4 at Riverside High School in Wathena.
